Get Quick Care for a Broken, Cracked or Chipped Tooth

When you break, crack, or chip a tooth, you can get prompt attention without waiting for regular dental office hours. We offer same-day appointments, walk-in availability, and extended hours every day. After examining the damage, your dentist will recommend treatment based on your needs, which may include dental bonding, a tooth filling, a dental crown, root canal treatment, or tooth extraction. EmergDENT strives to diagnose and treat you in the same visit whenever possible.

01.

Process

  • Complete an emergency exam: Your visit begins with an emergency dental exam, so your dentist can assess your broken, cracked, or chipped tooth and understand the extent of the damage.
  • Take necessary imaging: Your dentist typically takes digital X-rays to determine what treatment your tooth may require.
  • Receive your diagnosis: Your dentist reviews the findings with you and explains the recommended treatment, aiming to diagnose and treat your tooth during the same visit whenever possible.
  • Address infection first: If an infection is present, your doctor may prescribe antibiotics before procedural treatment can be completed.
  • Complete treatment when possible: If your tooth can be treated immediately, your dentist performs the appropriate procedure during your initial visit to address your discomfort.
  • Receive a temporary restoration: If you need a restoration, such as a crown, that must be made by an outside dental lab, you will receive a temporary restoration while your permanent one is fabricated.
  • Complete your permanent restoration: Once your lab-made restoration is ready, you return to have it fitted and complete the final stage of your treatment.

02.

Next Steps

  • Follow your aftercare instructions: Care for your treated tooth according to the specific guidance you receive from your dental team.
  • Take medications as directed: If your condition requires a prescription, follow the instructions provided by your dentist.
  • Monitor your tooth: Contact EmergDENT if you have additional concerns or notice changes after your treatment.
  • Return for follow-up care: Attend recommended check-ins or additional appointments if your tooth requires ongoing treatment.
  • Continue with your regular dentist: If you already have a dentist, EmergDENT can work with your primary dental clinic to help maintain continuity of care.
